Come on folks...let's fill up the 72-hour prayer vigil sign-up form. Support other Cursillo movements with your prayers. Go to 3-dayol.org WANTED...Prayer Warriors Northern Michigan DeColores Spring Men's and Women's weekends are registered with the world-wide prayer vigil web site 3dayol.org. Click on the links below, pick one or more hours and sign up to pray during that hour. Last year was the first time (that I am aware of) that we used this great service, but we didn't have very many sign up. Let's fill it up this year! The Northern Michigan DeColores Board would like your opinion. Several DeColores Community members wrote letters to the Board expressing their opinion about the recent change in the Bylaws to allow Women to attend a Weekend before their husband, even though we strongly encourage otherwise. If you have an opinion on this matter, please write or email the President Couple (or any other board member) with your opinion and the reason(s) for your opinion. The board members are your representatives and they would like to hear from you. You will find contact information for all of the board members on the Board page of this web site. The next board meeting is at First Christian Church in Traverse City on April 3 at 9:00 AM Thank You! Interested in working a DeColores Weekend or volunteering for a Board Position? You can now fill out the Member Interest Form on line. Simply click on the "Interest Form" link located on the "Documents and Forms" page, fill out the form and click the Submit button. Have you moved or changed your phone number or email address? Please allow us to keep our records up-to-date by providing us with your current contact information. Click the "Documents and Forms" link in the left margin. At the Documents and Forms page, scroll down to and click the link "Update your Contact Information". Fill out and submit the form. With the Spring weekends just around the corner, this is a reminder that the cost of the Sponsors Candles is now $5.00. Like everything else, prices went up last year. At the January 2nd Board meeting, the Bylaws were amended to remove the requirement that a husband attend a Weekend before his wife can attend. The revised policy is as follows: "Married couples are strongly encouraged to attend consecutive DeColores Weekends. It is recommended, but not required, that the husband attends first". The DeColores National Board is sponsoring a Men's and Women's DeColores Outreach weekend in Grayling this summer. Members from many of the Michigan DeColores Communities will be participating and Northern Michigan will be a major contributor. We need your help to make this a success. We need you to reach out to potential candidates in the communities in and around Grayling (Roscommon, Gaylord, Houghton Lake, West Branch and Mio). If you know of people in these areas, please be a sponsor and encourage them to attend one of these weekends. We especially need your prayers for the success of these Weekends. The Women's weekend is scheduled for June 24-27 and the Men's Weekend is scheduled for August 19-22. For more information or questions, contact Bob Sturm or Alice Sturm.
